Timaya Not Empress

Recently, Timaya has come out of his shadow to express the effect of super actress Empress Njamah on his life and career. Four years after the two love birds went their separate ways. Timaya reveals the impression Njama had on him.


On the day of the separation, the scene of the incident could make a good script for a Nollywood box office film. It was reported that Timaya was severely beaten at the church in Lagos where his former girlfriend was attending.

Eye witness at the scene, said at first sight it looked like a movie shoot, not until there was tears and blood flying in the air, before there was a call for rescue… 

Imagine the self-acclaimed Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa beaten up just because of love.

The Egberi papa 1 statement at the time:

 “You should not date somebody who already has a negative record. In my own case it affected me at that time. I feel that a relationship should be between two people and not exposed to the rest of the world. Only a smart man is able to keep his relationship private.”

 Sound advice from a B boy raised by the street. Could it be that this relationship had had a negative effect on Egberi papa 1 , thereby undermining his street credibility.

 However , Empress says there can never be a reunion between the two, cause she has left that shit in the past and it stays there.
